Always wanted to see our underwater art but can’t quite make it out to John Brewer Reef? Then join us for this exiting land-based art exhibition in Townsville featuring all the original Ocean Sentinels as miniature sculptures 3D printed in exquisite detail. The sculptures will be accompanied by background information on the sentinels and the artwork as well as a series of photos by the artist Jason deCaires Taylor himself, documenting the stunning coral growth on the Coral Greenhouse - and if you’re lucky you might even meet one of the Ocean Sentinels in the flesh!

Citizen Science Month builds awareness of opportunities for all people to participate in science in meaningful ways. Great Southern Bioblitz 2023
The Great Southern BioBlitz is an international period of intense biological surveying in an attempt to record all the living species within several designated areas across the southern hemisphere. The purpose of this event is to highlight both the immense biodiversity spread across the Southern Hemisphere as well as to engage the public in science and nature learning using the citizen science platform iNaturalist.
