Artist Jason deCaires Taylor has artistically incorporated the visual elements of cathedral fig tree roots and mangrove tree roots into Marshall's Ocean Sentinels sculpture. This symbolism signifies the deep connection between the land and sea in Indigenous cultures, where they have thrived for thousands of years.
